Interval Habit Timer

About the App

Interval Habit Timer is a watch-only Apple Watch app that sends interval-based reminder notifications directly to your wrist. The app runs entirely on Apple Watch and does not require an iPhone app.

It helps you build better habits by reminding you to perform tasks throughout the day, such as:

  • Drinking water
  • Fixing posture
  • Taking stretch breaks
  • Practicing mindfulness
  • Staying focused on work

Reminders are delivered through Apple Watch notifications and haptic taps.

How to Set Up a Reminder

  1. Open Interval Habit Timer on your Apple Watch
  2. Tap Configure
  3. Set how often you want reminders (for example: every 30 minutes)
  4. Choose the active hours during the day (for example: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
  5. Select which days of the week reminders should run
  6. Enter a name for the reminder (optional but recommended)
  7. Tap Test Notification to confirm notifications work
  8. Start the timer

Your Apple Watch will now send reminders based on your settings.

Test Notification (Important)

The Test Notification button immediately sends a reminder to your Apple Watch. You can find this button at the very bottom of the Configure screen.

Use this to confirm that:

  • Notifications are enabled
  • Haptic feedback is working
  • Your reminder will appear correctly

If the test notification appears, your reminders should work normally.

If it does not appear, follow the troubleshooting steps below.

Troubleshooting Notifications

If reminders are not appearing, please check the following.

1. Enable Notifications for the App

On your iPhone:

Watch App → Notifications → Interval Habit Timer

Ensure notifications are enabled.

2. Check Apple Watch Notification Settings

On Apple Watch:

Settings → Notifications

Make sure notifications are allowed and not disabled globally.

3. Disable Focus / Do Not Disturb

Focus modes may suppress notifications.

On Apple Watch:

Control Center → Focus

Turn off Focus modes while testing.

4. Use the Test Notification Button

Open the app and tap Test Notification.

If the test notification does not appear:

  • Notifications are likely disabled
  • Focus mode may be active
  • The watch may need a restart

5. Restart Your Apple Watch

Restarting often resolves notification issues.

  • Hold the side button
  • Power off the watch
  • Turn it back on

Then test again using Test Notification.

6. Ensure Your Reminder Is Scheduled Correctly

Check that:

  • The current time is inside your active hours
  • The current day is selected
  • The interval is active

If the time or day is outside your settings, reminders will not trigger.

Tips for Best Results

  • Use reminder names like "Drink Water" or "Fix Posture."
  • Test notifications after configuration.
  • Start with shorter intervals while testing.
